Today Mike reached the 1,000 mile mark (1,000.2 miles to be exact), as he crossed from Montrose to Gunnison, Colorado.
On the way in to town, Mike dropped the bike off at a local bike shop for a tune up after reaching the 1,000 mile mark and to also prepare for his highest climb of the journey tomorrow. We will pass through Monarch pass which is 11,320 ft. high. Once he reaches the high point, it's all down hill to Kansas.
Once again Colorado didn't let us down as far as the scenery. It's truly a beautiful state! This morning I took a detour and went into Black Rock Canyon National Park. The canyons were breathtaking and I had the park all to myself. I told Mike I had breakfast with God today. Enjoy!
