Mike rode 78.6 miles and we made it into Lioti, Kansas today just after 1:00. It would have been closer to noon, but we rode into Central time so we had to adjust the clocks again. We are staying at the Hi-Plains Hotel and we were pleased to find that the hotel is much nicer than their sign 7 miles out of town.
The road was long, straight and flat again. The wind was on Mike's side today and his average speed overall was about 18 miles per hour. He caught up with me several times at about 35 miles per hour.
At first glance you wouldn't think there is much to capture photographically out here, but I've learned if you just get out of the car and watch, there is plenty of beauty in the mid-west.
