A day of recovery!
Mike rode a total of 66.7 miles today and it seemed like 56 miles of it was either down hill or flat! We left a little later today to make sure there wasn't any ice left on the roads and Mike finished up in just under 6 hours.
The roads were clear, the skies were blue and the sun was bright. We went over the Dallas Divide which is 9,107 ft high and glorious! We've always loved the Sierra's but we both agree that the Rockies are truly amazing!
We are in Montrose, Colorado tonight and tomorrow we head up to Gunnison. It is good that today was an easier day because tomorrow will be very challenging with about a 3,500 ft. elevation gain.
