A long day in the saddle!
We woke up to blue skies and crisp clean air, perfect conditions for cycling and photographing the Colorado Rockies!
It ended up being a long cold day in the saddle for Mike. He spent just over 8 hours riding and covered 76 miles with 4,500 ft. elevation gain. Mike added a couple layers of clothing when he reached Lizard Head Pass which is 10,222 ft. high in order to prepare for the cold ride down.
We made it to Telluride, Colorado around 4:00 p.m. which is a Victorian style ski town and it's pretty much closed for the season. We feel like we have the town to ourselves.
I took some shots of some amazing farmland this morning and later today I found people playing in the fresh snow.
